Colleen's Story
Hello
I’m Colleen, and thanks to my Aunt Constance, who gifted me a FishBellie 14 years ago, I have been obsessed with all things FishBellies ever since. This love for the brand and product led me to become FishBellies social media and marketing coordinator, and I am thankful to announce that I have grown into this additional role of PitPillow designer!
My professional background began in sales at Comcast, and that love of sales led to advertising sales for Merion Publications. After a break to raise my two daughters, I took an entrepreneurial leap into a social media, marketing, and advertising role for a local coffee company. After six years of coffee, I chose to move solely to FishBellies.
I am delighted to bring PitPillows to anyone going through any kind of breast surgery, knowing that the comfort they will bring to their healing will be instrumental in their journeys. I love choosing brilliantly beautiful and soft fabrics to make these PitPillows that will also brighten the mood. I especially love that these fabrics are designed by human artists from all over the world, and supporting them adds a special touch.
PitPillows are handmade in Philadelphia, PA. My grandmother Alice, who recently passed, was a well-known and accomplished Philadelphian seamstress for 82 years. I know she is smiling down on me as I model her example of making items that will lovingly help others. With the support of my husband of 25 years, Chuck, and my two wonderful daughters, I hope to bring whimsy, comfort, beauty, loving care, and support to your recovery journey.
